Aspire has partnered with the Metro Action Commission to facilitate the Dream BLDRS program during the 2024 Power Youth Summit. Dream BLDRS is designed to support and guidance for students and young adults, helping them navigate their futures.
Hosted at the Music City Sheraton Hotel in Nashville, TN, the 2024 Power Youth Summit catered to approximately 800 participants, offering interactive workshops to enhance personal growth and professional skills.

DREAM BLDRS
APPROACH
The Dream BLDRS™ workshops integrated interactive sessions focusing on Vision creation, character assessment, personal branding, and ideal employee/company traits.
Over the course of a two-day event, participants engaged in workshops focused on mindfulness/meditation, goal setting, and personal strengths/conflict resolution in workplaces. These workshops were structured to provide a holistic approach to personal and professional development, ensuring attendees could apply the skills and insights gained to various aspects of their lives.

- Dream BLDRS socio-emotional learning (SEL) workshops utilizing creative approaches to reveal the tools and techniques for dream building.

The demographic breakdown of the participants was as follows:
- 800 students and young adults attended.
- Gender distribution: 58.7% females, 39.7% males, 2.4% non-specified.
- Educational level: 30.5% freshmen, 23.2% sophomores, 22% juniors, 24.4% seniors.
- Age distribution: 95.9% aged between 18-24, 4.1% aged between 35-40.
- Student status: 78.1% high school students, 20.5% college students, 1.4% working professionals.
MIND BLDRS
IMPACT
Mind BLDRS Workshop:
Participants identified their primary areas of tension and improvement needs through a series of questions:
- 64.8% reported feeling most tension in their bodies through anxiety.
- 48.4% felt it most in their minds.
- 42.9% experienced it in their hearts through relationships.
- 18.7% felt it in their hands through connection.
The workshop revealed that the most common area for improvement was an increase in success (57.1%). Post-meditation activities showed that 70.6% of participants utilized breathing techniques, 69.6% emphasized connection, and 50% valued stillness.

DREAM BLDRS: Goal Setting Workshop:
Participants developed vision statements based on their career aspirations.
Popular activities included listening to music (83.3%), spending time with family (73%), social media use (70.3%), hanging out with friends (67.6%), and texting (67.6%). The most valued aspect of SMART goals was "attainable" (31.5%), followed by "time-based" (30.1%), "relevance" (15.1%), "specific" (12.3%), and "measurable" (11%).

Participants identified their strengths and conflict resolution styles. Top strengths were:

Participants were encouraged to leverage their strengths and adopt effective conflict resolution styles to achieve their desired outcomes in life and career.
The 2024 MAC Power Youth Summit, through the Dream BLDRS program, provided valuable insights and practical skills to 800 students and young adults. By focusing on mindfulness, goal setting, and personal strengths, the summit empowered participants to address anxiety, set achievable goals, and manage conflicts effectively. This holistic approach is aimed at immediate personal growth and equipping attendees with tools for long-term success in their personal and professional lives.
